Indiscreet PR is a specialist Press Agency working within the music print and radio / TV media. Set up by Alan Robinson and Lesley Shone, two industry professionals who collectively have over forty years experience of working within the music business.

Indiscreet PR acts as a Press and media conduit for artists and record companies seeking press exposure for their work.Working within the music press and daily / weekly newspapers in the first instance, backed up by established contacts in National and Regional radio.

Indiscreet PR is a strongly independent outfit that focuses upon awareness-building (as regards emergent acts) or providing and consolidating press focus for already-established artists. This is done via securing review and feature space in magazines and newspapers, and via airplay on radio and TV.

This 'profile raising' is the key to the success of Indiscreet PR; that of being able to
narrow-focus any given artist of band to journalists and broadcasters who are broadly appreciative and sympathetic to whatever musical genre that any given act inhabits ~ this requires the 'specialist knowledge' which Indiscreet has and utilises successfully.

Alan is a Press Officer of some ten years standing. In this time, he has worked with artists as diverse as Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, Gary Moore, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Ray Davies, Gene Pitney, Brian Wilson, Ian Dury (he bears the scars), The James Taylor Quartet, Michael McDonald, John Hiatt, Lamont Dozier and many others.

He has also penned sleeve notes for numerous album projects, as well as having articles and reviews published in magazines such as 'Record Collector', 'Mojo', 'Uncut'
and 'Bucketful Of Brains'.

During this time, he promoted concerts with the likes of Booker T &The MGs, Albert King, Albert Collins, Johnny Winter, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Smithereens, The Fall, Screamin' Jay Hawkins and scores of others, for what was the premier London venue of its time.

Lesley has a career in the music business that stretches back over twenty-five years. Having already paid her dues as a musician in numerous combos (playing a bewildering range of musical styles!) Lesley joined wth ex members of the Bodysnatchers to form The Belle Stars in 1981.

As bass player with The Belle Stars, she enjoyed international chart hits, and global tours with the likes of The Clash, The Police, Madness, The Pretenders & Elvis Costello as well as headlining their own shows. As a Belle Star (who were signed to the legendary UK Indie label Stiff Records) her recording career involved working with such notable producers as Pete Collins, Pete Waterman, Clive Langer & Alan Winstanley, Trevor Horn, Pete Wingfield, Lamont Dozier and many others.

After the 7piece line up split (1985) Lesley, together with Sarah Jane and Miranda, continued as a three piece and went on to record an album in the States with the hip 4th & Broadway production team.

Despite the US success of the 'World Domination' single ~ a top 5 US dance chart hit ~ the album was never released. Lesley continues to fly The Belle stars flag, most recently having teamed up with Jenny (original Belle Stars vocalist ) for the Christmas 2002 'Here & Now' tour.

Lesley has also worked as a session player on numerous recordings and live dates, written and recorded a track for the Arsenal Football team, had a spell in music management and has even operated spotlights on a Peter Gabriel tour.

Lesley has also worked extensively in other aspects of the music business, as Label Manager for Grapevine distribution, looking after artists as varied as Rock Bitch, Richie Blackmore, Damien Dempsey, Roger Chapman, Bill Mallonee and Kevin Montgomery to name but a few.
